摘要:Starting from the existence of a stock of Slavonic words in both languages as a consequence of the Slovenian language’s belonginess to the Slavonic family of languages as well as a strong Slavonic influence over the Romanian language in the ancient times, I tried to develop in this article a brief comparative analysis of some lexical fields part of both Romanian and Slovenian. Although the presence of over 3000 words of Slavonic origin is recognized in the Romanian language, only part of them are to be encountered in both languages. Despite of the fact that many words have a common Slavonic etymon, I noticed in many cases differences in what concerns the form, meaning and usage in certain contexts deternimed by the fact that these languages developed in different cultural areas. Apart from many semantic differences, I perceived occurrences in different contexts and semantic or stylistic specializations of numerous words.
