Based on the assumption that spirituality is a factor that may influence coping styles of individuals with problematic situations, it was analyzed the influence of spirituality in coping style of patients diagnosed of anorexia and/or bulimia.
39 women from Buenos Aires, Entre Ríos, San Luis and Mendoza (Argentina) were assessment through the Ways of Coping Checklist (WCCL) and the System of Beliefs Inventory (SBI-15R).
The results showed a moderate influence of “social support religious” dimension in the use and/or development of evaluation-focused strategies (F(1;24) = 2,094; p=0,054), nevertheless it didn't show the same in the other styles, by patients diagnosed with bulimia and/or anorexia nervosa.
