We submit a study about the use of time by men from a perspective that takes into account the diversity of masculine models in relation to gender, age, social class, family situation, sexual orientation and ethnical/ cultural background.

With this aim we have done a qualitative research based on 25 interviews with men living in Barcelona’s metropolitan area.

The central axis of the analysis is the use of time by these men, according to their discourses and practices. The objective was to analyze, from a gender inequality perspective and taking into account other inequality factors, the role that the use of time plays in the construction and deconstruction of masculine identities.
