摘要：Based on the increasing spread of so-called "Californian sports" in contemporary, especially in Brazil and in cities like São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Florianopolis, this article aims to hold discussions on these activities from the perspective of corporeality, the playful and contemporary tribalism, taking surfing and skateboarding as examples of central thread. These reflections come from the description and analysis of the video documentary called "Dogtown and Z-Boys" - directed by Stacy Peralta and launched in 2001 by Alliance Atlantis - with the aim of thinking the formation of these new ways of expression in history of present time.
