摘要：Decade of 1930, dictatorial regime of the New State. At the dawn of the New Brazil it was imperative to forge the New Man and no element would so strong concur for this principle as Education, being the Physical Education understood as the physical part of this great project. It is in this scene that Santa Catarina blunts, together with the states of Espírito Santo and São Paulo, in the field of the formation of specialized professors. As a first step for the organization of the Physical Education in the state, there was the creation, in 1938, of the Inspectorship of Physical Education of the state and the consequent installation, attached to this, of the Provisory Course of Physical Education. Accomplishments as these had made Santa Catarina state to be interpreted as an example to be followed by the others
