摘要：This work argues about the origins of modern sport as an educative project of formation and cultivation of the character of the individual bourgeois. Led by an analysis of the film Chariots of Fire, we will make a historical debate concerning the images and memories of the sports character. In this text, we will approach three characters of the film, using their dialogues, significant situations and characteristics with intention of providing a deepened debate on the sports character assumed by them throughout the story, bringing us to a reflexion on the appropriation and use of the sport and its relation with the bourgeois education
