摘要：This paper presents a theoretical reflection about the poetic narrative or lyrical novel from the tale “The gestures”, byOsman Lins (1924- 1978). The narrative technique of Osman Lins blends prose and poetry to describe the lyrical moments of revelation experienced by the character André in the explosive force of his room's silence. Through the analysis presented, we revel the poetic wealth of Osman Lins' works, investigating the lyric force present in his initial production, based on the theoretical postulations of Jean-Yves Tadié, Ralph Freedman, George Steiner, Roland Barthes, among others.
