摘要：The pollution potential of pesticides in the Hindon river (India) has been studied. The different pesticides monitored include lindane, malathion, BHC, p, p�-DDD, o, p�-DDT, and methoxychlor. Water and sediment samples were collected during the pre- and post-monsoon seasons. The concentrations of pesticides were found to be high in sediments compared to the associated water column. Agricultural runoff is the main source of pesticide pollution.
