摘要：The R-mode factor analysis technique has been successfully applied to understand the processes responsible for the decline of groundwater quality in Guntur urban area, Andhra Pradesh, India. Factor I is dominated by TDS, Na, Cl, SO4 and K, factor II by pH and CO3 , and factor III by NO3 variables. They measure salinity, hardness, alkalinity and pollution, and are interpreted as representing the role of climate, water-rock interaction, land use and anthropogenic sources.
