摘要:Using G.I.S. in order to Estimate the Risk of Extremes Events Occurrence: the exces of humidity and the shortages of the Transylvanian Plain. The paper has, first of all, a methodological purpose in order to establish a suitable alghorithm of different techniques and methodes throught a corect estimation of the the hazard, the vulnerability and risk. Shortly, we propose to combine the frequency analysis and the regression analysis with different G.I.S. functions in order to get G.I.S. models of the risk against the hydrological extreme events. The V.U.B. monthly water balance model has been used in order to obtain the basin’s water storage. This is the index of basin humidity, its extremes emphasises the water shortages and the excess of humidity. The Log-Pearson type III low is specific for the full Transylvanian field and it offeres the probabilistic estimates of the hazard. The areas having different degree of vulnerability to the hazard are obtained using G.I.S. functions. Knowing also, the social and economical characteristics of this field, in function of the hazard magnitude, the risk to extreme hydrological events can be assessd
