Analysis of 18 July 2006 flash-floods in the small river from the middle basin of the Arieş River. The June 2006 flash-floods happened through a series of small basins in the neighbourhood of the village of Baia de Arieş can be considered as phenomena of high intensity, on many small rives, water being up rising to 2 meters. In addition, one can add the high speed of water and thus one can make an impression on the effects generated by these events. The value of the material loss and the social and ecological consequences could have been much more higher if the flash-floods had happened in spaces with high demographic density. The previous context given, the raised potential of destruction and the bad experience of Romania from the last years in relation to such manifestations imposes a change into the optics of approaching of the future studies of flood risk, through close attention to vulnerable spaces towards flash floods.
