摘要：Dating from the Roman Period, from the late first century BC, or the early first century AD onwards until the middle of the third century, the Faiyum Portraits gave us a glimpse of the multiculturalism of the late Egyptian society. They attest to a unique confluence of traditions of the Ancient World, mingling together Ancient Egyptian funerary beliefs, with the artistic tradition of the classical world, which was continued into Byzantine and Western traditions in the post-classical world.
