摘要：The main aim of this paper is interpretative. I will expose the traditional descriptivist theories of proper names suggested by Frege, Russell, Wittgenstein and Searle, showing that, differently from what is usually thought, they are not competitive theories, but only somewhat diverse presentations of a particular view.
