In recent years an increasing number of attitude surveys have attempted to assess public attitudes to a host of development issues. In this article Colm Regan and Mary Sutton of Trocaire review the structure of and results obtained from suck surveys. They then present the results of a recently commissioned Trocaire survey. They point to the limitations of ike surveys undertaken to date and offer some thoughts on future studies.
