摘要:This paper discusses policy options on how to create entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurial capacity at Africa’s research institutions by looking at successful country cases in the developing world. The author argues that national innovation policies are needed to promote the growth of a dynamic and competitive private sector that efficiently delivers private and public goods and services, unleashing the creativity of individuals and strengthening the performance of domestic R&D and support institutions to meet the development aspirations of their communities. The paper draws on different policies and approaches employed in Chile, Korea, Thailand, and Zambia.
