摘要：Este artigo objetiva uma breve análise do processo de constituição, organização e atuação da comunidade científica, entendendo-a em seu sentido mais amplo, pois que nele se vislumbra a possibilidade de ampliação desta. Isso coloca em questão o conjunto de problemas que afeta a representatividade da comunidade científica no que diz respeito à avaliação da atividade científica, suas teorias e constructos explicativos.
