摘要:Throughout the world, millions of ordinary consumers as well as businesses now use “freeware” - open source software applications that are available either for free or at a small price. This paper presents pros and cons of using free software either for personal or business use. The economic impact of free software on proprietary software developers is explored, as well as the business case for developing or servicing freeware for public use.
