摘要：Marxsen’s contribution offers a provocative interpretation of the 2008-2009 recession and the role energy prices directly and environmental regulationindirectly played in creating the downturn. While Marxsen draws a compelling link between energy costs and the recent recession, his link between 1) the recent spike in energy costs and environmental regulation and 2) the subsequent link between environmental regulation and the recent recession, is much less convincing.
