摘要：The overall theme may be stated as follows : which language does the French novel of today adopt ? Should one use a literary language, distinct from popular language? Can that literary language be identified with the “belle langue” of tradition? Or with current sophisicated usage ? If the novel seeks to make a literary use of popular language, how do we define this “literary use” ?.
