摘要：La inmigración es un hecho social presente en todos los países de la Unión Europea, entre ellos España, donde en los últimos años su aumento poblacional extranjero ha ido unido a un incremento de las actitudes perjudiciales hacia la inmigración. El tratamiento informativo (framing) que los medios de comunicación hacen de esta realidad puede tener una alta influencia en las opiniones y actitudes mantenidas por la opinión pública hacia la inmigración. Ello hace necesario el estudio del tipo de cobertura que en los últimos años han dado la prensa y televisión españolas, como medios informativos de mayor audiencia, a los inmigrantes y la inmigración a través de sus noticias. Para ello, se realizó un análisis de contenido de las noticias aparecidas en las principales cadenas de televisión y periódicos españoles durante el año 2004, que permitiera comprobar las hipótesis de investigación planteadas en el estudio. En este sentido, se observó que la mayoría de las noticias que daban cobertura informativa a la inmigración solían tener un carácter negativo y ser emplazadas dentro de la sección de nacional o sociedad. Además, los datos permitieron observar un tratamiento polarizado entre las noticias positivas, que presentaban la contribución económica de los inmigrantes, y las negativas, que vinculaban en mayor medida la inmigración con aspectos negativos como la violencia, siendo además éste el encuadre noticioso dominante. En último lugar, se observó una falta de contextualización temática en las noticias analizadas, con una especial predominancia de la televisión.
其他摘要：Immigration is a social issue concerning every European Union’s country. In the particular case of Spain, a negative attitude towards immigration has been raised in proportion to an increment in foreign residency. The media framing about this subject can highly impact the public opinion and attitudes towards migration. Therefore, it is necessary to study the kind of coverage that the Spanish press and television has given to the news about migration and immigrants. In order to probe the hypothesis stated in this study, a content analysis of the news appeared in main Spanish TV networks and newspapers during 2004 was developed. At the end, it was observed that most of the news that covered migration were presented inside the social or national sections with a marked negative bias. Besides, the data allowed observing a marked dual treatment of the positive and negative news about migration, with an emphasis on the negative subjects. In the positive assets of migration, economic contribution of migrants is emphasized; on the negative side, migration is directly related to violence, the frame more presented at Spanish media.
