摘要：Se examinaron las características de las Escalas de Validez, Clínicas y Reestructuradas en los perfiles del MMPI-2 (Butcher, Dahlstrom, Graham, Tellegen, & Kaemmer, 1989) de 153 puertorriqueños. En consonancia con hallazgos en los Estados Unidos, este estudio refleja la capacidad de las Escalas Clínicas (EC) y las Escalas Reestructuradas (ER) para diferenciar entre grupos provenientes de diversos contextos. Las ER (Tellegen, Ben- Porath, McNulty, Arbisi, Graham, & Kaemmer, 2003) retuvieron su convergencia con las EC además de demostrar mayor capacidad de diferenciación entre grupos que las EC. Debido a que las ER forman la base del MMPI-2 RF (Ben-Porath & Tellegen, 2008), es necesario estudiar las características de estas escalas aplicadas al contexto lingüístico y cultural puertorriqueño.
其他摘要：The MMPI-2 (Butcher, Dahlstrom, Graham, Tellegen, & Kaemmer, 1989) Validity, Clinical and Restructured Clinical (RC) Scales profiles of 153 Puerto Rican adults were examined. Consistent with findings in U.S. studies, the present findings reflect the ability of these scales to differentiate between groups from diverse contexts. The RC scales (Tellegen, Ben- Porath, McNulty, Arbisi, Graham, & Kaemmer, 2003) retained their convergence with the Clinical scales while simultaneously demonstrating greater differentiation between the groups than the Clinical scales. Because the RC scales are the foundation for the newly published MMPI-2 RF (Ben- Porath & Tellegen, 2008), it is important to study these scales in the Puerto Rican cultural and linguistic context.
