摘要：Over the time, the economists, statisticians, national statistical offi ces, as well as international bodies, showed an assiduous concern in their attempt of establishing the economic and social development level of the countries based on individual indicators and/or composite indicators, allowing further on for setting up a hierarchy as realistic as possible.
