摘要：La idea de que la masa anónima jugaba un papel destacado en el combate homérico ha reabierto el interés por dilucidar cómo se organizaba exactamente esa masa y qué tipo de táctica empleaba. Las propuestas oscilan entre una disposición abierta que respeta la movilidad y autonomía de los héroes y sus huestes, y una formación cerrada que recuerda en todo a la falange de época clásica. Los próma- choi o “combatientes de vanguardia” se encuentran en el centro de ese debate, pues el texto homérico les reserva un lugar privilegiado en las narraciones del combate. No obstante, a través de su naturale- za, sus acciones y sus contextos, tal y como Homero los describe en los poemas, podemos aproxi- marnos un poco más al tipo de combate que muestra la épica, y arrojar alguna luz acerca de si se trataba de formaciones abiertas o cerradas.
其他摘要：The new and prominent role assigned to the anonymous mass in Homeric combat has renewed the interest to elucidate exactly how was that mass organized and which was its tactical disposition. Recent suggestions range from an open order that favors the mobility and autonomy of the heroes and their followers, to a closed formation that resembles in almost every detail the phalanx of the classical period. The prómachoi or “foremost fighters” are in the heart of the discussion, because of the preeminent role granted for them in the combat descriptions of the Homeric texts. However, their nature, actions and contexts as depicted by Homer allow us to get a better picture of the combat system of the epics, and to shed some new light on the question whether their formations were open or closed
