摘要：What the author attempts in this paper is to show how pragmatist interpretation is at work in some contemporary aesthetics. The fact that the hermeneut and the aesthetic theoretician are one and the same is just a lucky coincidence. The interpretive method of the former could – and most certainly does – get adopted, and applied, by other aesthetic theorists than Richard Shusterman.
