摘要：By exposing several ways of understanding art and action I intend to contextually explain, on the one hand, the process of creating, and, on the other hand, the finalities of the artistic effort. Certain contemporary artistic practices entail interest towards the domain of action. In order to illustrate this I am considering certain phenomena such as action painting, performance art, body art, contextualized art, and the art of communication. Similarly, I explore the educative, therapeutical and practical dimensions of the meaning of contemporary art. My thesis is that contemporary art is primarily centered on the projects and messages that involve all the types of action and public engagement, and that they contribute to an esthetization of our lives. The art of living reunites esthetical as well as ethical values such as beauty and goodness, governed by auto perfection, morality, and solidarity.
