摘要:In the Republic’s center, Socrates shows his displeasure when Glauco try to turn him against Thrasymachus because, as Socrates says, there’s a real friendship between them (498c9-d4). Beyond the socratic irony, the truth is that the friendship between their logoi is based upon a double agreement: 1) Justice requires the knowledge of the useful and the good (339d5-9); 2) The intelligent ruler is not willing to benefit the city if he doesn’t benefit himself (347d6-8). In this paper, it is cleared the meaning of this double agreement where Socrates and Thrasymachus are crossed and separated according their different views.
