摘要：In this work I attempt to offer a foundation for the sociological study of art. In specific I argue that art is Weltanschauung, or a window into the world through which we can identify and explore the social contexts of artistic forms. Further, I highlight the traditional theoretical perspectives of the Functional, Conflict, and Interpretivist approaches to ground a framework from which to study art sociologically.
