摘要：his article intends to discuss some features of the concept of rhetoric linking this debate with the analyses of rationality. The main argument point to rhetoric theories, a thought established by the Aristotelian tradition, as a base to build a new descriptive model of rationality. The same analytical problems of Aristotle to think the concept of persuasion and adapt it to the logical appearance of discourse, will emerge, in a specific context, at the contemporary thought, e.g. Perelman and Meyer. The rhetoric tradition uses an ambivalent notion of persuasion and rationality to understand the empirical situation where words create action.
