摘要：Este artículo pretende estudiar las elecciones presidenciales francesas a través de las reglas que organizan este acontecimiento de la vida democrática gala (los dispositivos constitucionales, las campañas electorales, las condiciones para ser candidato, la financiación del gasto), las características de su cuerpo electoral (el tamaño y la composición del cuerpo electoral así como las inscripciones que contribuyen a su redefinición permanente), la importancia que los electores confieren a las elecciones presidenciales, sabiendo que organizan y estructuran el tiempo y el espacio político de la Quinta República.
