摘要：To uniquely recognizing humans based upon one or more intrinsic physical or behavioral traits are called as Biometrics. Biometrics is one of the biggest approaches in identification of human. The fingerprint is the most widely used biometric technique. The fingerprint recognition technique is advantageous for such recognition as compared to other techniques. Fingerprints were used as a means of positively identifying a person as an author of the document and are used in law enforcement. Fingerprint recognition has a lot of advantages, a fingerprint is compact, unique for every person, and stable over the lifetime. Fingerprint recognition could be done with minutiae points and non-minutiae points. In this paper various fingerprint matching techniques are introduced. On comprising these techniques the non-minutiae based fingerprint matching is best.
