摘要：Distributed multimedia systems consist of multimedia databases, proxy and information servers, and clients, and are intended to for the distribution of multimedia content over the networks. Multimedia applications generate and consume continuous streams of data in real time. They contain large quantities of audio, video and other time-based data elements, and the timely processing and delivery of the individual data elements is essential. In this paper we presented a brief overview of Distributed Multimedia systems and discussed Quality of Service Management and Key Technologies and Solutions in the Design of a DMS (Distributed Multimedia Systems)
