摘要：Web mining, i.e. the application of data mining techniques to extract knowledge from Web content, structure, and usage, is the collection of technologies to fulfil the potential of extracting valuable knowledge from the World Wide Web and its usage pattern. Web mining techniques seek to extract knowledge from Web data, including web documents, hyperlinks between documents, usage logs of web sites, etc. This article provides an overview of past and current work in the three main areas of Web mining research—content, structure, and usage. In this paper we define Web mining and, in particular, present an overview of the various research issues, techniques, and development efforts in Web content mining and Web usage mining.
