摘要:The widespread use of learning online has increased the demand of courses to be offered online through Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). e-learning is a student oriented process of learning. But there still exists areas where e-learning is miles away from the common masses due to either lack of facilities or unawareness and Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) being one among them. The trend in the development in IT Sector of J&K is not encouraging. This paper explores and evaluates the present e-learning initiatives with certain parameters like usability, awareness, availability of resources, technical and maintenance issues, impacts on students(from teachers point of view),viewpoint of teachers towards e-learning and benefits of e-learning over traditional way of teaching. This evaluational study is based upon the information collected from teaching faculty of colleges through a well structured questionnaire consisting of above stated six parameters.
