摘要：Security has become a primary concern in order to provide protected communication between mobile nodes in a hostile environment. Unlike the wireline networks, the unique characteristics of mobile ad hoc networks pose a number of nontrivial challenges to security design, such as open peer-topeer network architecture, shared wireless medium, stringent resource constraints, and highly dynamic network topology. The provision of security services in the MANET context faces a set of challenges specific to this new technology. In this paper, we discuss security issues, vulnerable nature of the mobile ad hoc network, security criteria and the main attack types that exist in it. Finally we survey the current security solutions for the mobile ad hoc network and then conclude this paper.
