摘要：This paper uses cross country regression analysis to investigate the relationship between poverty and per capita income for a large set of developing countries to see whether there is a Kuznets style relationship similar to that between income inequality and per capita income. The results show, in contrast to the relationship between income inequality and per capita income, that there is an inverted Kuznets relationship between poverty and per capita income.
