摘要：The family is a special social institution as families perform basic functions for survival and development of society: economic function, reproductive function, educational function and function of taking care of elderly people. There is no known society in which the family doesn’t play a major economic role. Vietnam is not an exception. Vietnamese families implement economic function very well. Firstly, households’ income has had a rising and stable tendency. Secondly, the average expense of Vietnamese households was significantly improved in recent years. This demonstrates that households’ living standard has been improved better.
