摘要：Information technology programs have entered their fourth decade at the University level within the United States. Throughout this time, significant research has been accomplished in areas such as user perception of information systems, information system integration and information systems strategy. This study investigates views on information system research for the purpose of identifying the factors that motivate researchers. A survey of all authors who published within top-rated MIS refereed journals from 1996–2001 was conducted and the results are tabulated within.
