摘要：We are living in a world where people are staying connected via mobile technology more than ever. People are “plugged-in” and connected to what has become an “always on” world. Technology which was once only found on desktop computers can now be carried in the palm of our hands. Mobile devices such as smart phones allow people to have a constant connection to friends, family, and information. This exploratory study of 168 undergraduate and graduate students at a mid-Atlantic university examines the growing dependency students have on mobile technology. Findings indicate that students rely on mobile technology to fulfill their primary communication and information seeking needs.
