摘要:In this paper, we propose a new Fuzzy-Logic Adaptive Queuing controller (FLAQ) based on a classical Random Early Detection (RED) algorithm in wireless cellular network. The controller predicts dynamically the packet dropping rate and the corresponding average queue length. It relies on the average queue length at the base station router and the packet loss rate caused by the channel variations in mobile environment; assuming there is no buffer overflow due to the congestion. Using this model, a heuristic TCP performance can be estimated over a time-varying channel under different conditions of user’s mobility. The results show a significant improvement in TCP throughput performance when the user’s mobility is below 5 m/s; and becomes constant (i.e., close to i.i.d) beyond this speed especially at 5% of predefined packet error rate.
