As a lignocellulosic wastes, waste tea leaves (WTL) of tea factories reaches to amonut of 7-8.000 ton a year. in this study, composting ofthese vvastes wereevaluated. CACO3, cattle manure, triple süper phosphate (TSP), and ammonium sulphate (AS) were used as additives. Composting time was found betvveen 14-23 weeks in soil pits. Results indicated that WTl composts were not affected the seed properties of Brutia pine expectedly, where as acacia seeds were possitively affected at a desirable diameter of root neck, 196. 0- 289.7 % in dry weight of root, 230.3-378.6 % in dry weight of stem andfinally 220.3-329.1 in dry vveight of whole seed.
