Rapid increase m population and industrial development causes environmental pollution. Existence of heavy metahons, such as mercury, cupper, iron, lead and crom, m water may cause toxic and harmful effect to the living organisims m water and to the consumers of it. A very large group of microorgams m s may adsorb heavy metal lonsfrom enviromment to their body this ability exhibited by both living and dead cells of microorgams m s can be used to adsorb heavy metal lonsfrom waste water. in this study. the adsorbtion of Cr (6) lons to Bacillus subtilis isolatedfrom industrial waste water containing Cr(6) ions was investigated, as well as that the effect of different pH and initial metal conscrtration of 25-200 ppm on the adsorbstion of Cr(6) ions to B subtilis was tested to determine optimum conditions far removal of Cr (6) ions m waste Water.
