in this study, the amount of heavy metal that is t'ound in the tap water of Güneyören village of Ulus county (of Bartın) and Elvanpazarcık village of Zonguldak where guatr is widely spread, has been determinied by AAS method. The relation between the number of patients with guatr and the amount of heavy metal have been investigated.
