摘要：Mercuric iodate crystals were grown by gel method using single diffusion technique. The growth condition is optimized by varying various parameters such as gel concentration, pH of the gel solution, gel setting time, concentrations of reactants etc. Crystals having different morphologies were obtained. Some of them were opaque and a few others were transparent. The crystals were characterized using TGA,DTA,DTG and DSC.
