摘要：Ground water is never found in pure state. As water comes from the atmosphere it is Contaminated with atmospheric CO2 and fall on the ground in the from of weach carbonic acid. The present paper deals with chemical properties of the groundwater in the Ratnawati basin. Amongs the many chemical properties pH, TDS, EC, Salinity, hardness, cationic Constituents like Fe, Ca, Mg, Na, K and anionic Constituents like SO4, Cl, No3, CO3, HCO3 etc have been Studied All these properties have been represented by graph and charts & map on this basis of chemical characteristics five broad groups and the groups ground water qualities have been determined on the basis of world Health Organization (WHO) standard table.
