摘要：Dr. Khalid Abdul-Aziz has been agonizing over whether he should leave the group of pediatricians that he has been associated with for the past five years to establish his own practice, or stay put. He has encountered a number of very frustrating situations over the time he has been with the group. While he loves the practice of medicine and his patients and their families, he has not been able to achieve the level of professionalism in service delivery that he seeks because of three types of constraints within the group: philosophical, personnel, and procedural. There are major challenges to any new medical sole practitioner, but the potential rewards of molding his practice in the way he thinks it should perform medicine is extremely enticing to him.
