摘要：Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is one of the fundamental research areas of image processing and pattern recognition field. The performance accuracy of an OCR system depends on the proper segmentation of the characters. This paper is concerned with the segmentation of printed bangla characters without modifiers for optical character recognition (OCR) system. The basic steps needed for developing an OCR system also have been discussed.
