摘要：Regarding their onset, clinical manifestations of postradiation syndromes can be divided into acute, subacute, and chronic, and they can affect all nervous system anatomic structures ranging from cerebral hemispheres to the periphery nerve, including the blood vessels. The importance of timely diagnosis of these conditions lies in excluding other curable diseases in order to exclude unnecessary diagnosis, and especially antitumor therapy. The paper discusses the biological grounds of nervous system postradiation syndromes as well as the basic therapeutic approaches. In addition, a useful overview of differences between postradiation plexopathy and neoplastic plexopathy is presented.
