摘要：The transient ischaemic attack is usually defined as an episode of temporary focal brain dysfunction of the vascular (occlusive) origin, with fast development of symptoms and signs, which are of different duration and usually last 2 to 5 minutes, rarely up to 24 hours. We present seven patients with symptoms and signs of carotid circulatory system transient ischaemic attacks of non – vascular etiology. In the first patient, meningeoma was detected, in the second – subdural haemathoma, in the third viral encephalitis, and the other four were partial epileptic seizures. The aim of this report is to point out a possibility of non – vascular origin of the transient ischaemic attack symptoms, which demands a different treatment
