摘要:Considering the fact that we are in a great economic crisis at the moment, we reckon that the family is also in crisis. Parents are occupied with existential problems and have little time for their children and themselves. We were interested in the way our children estimated their family situation and what effects their opinions had on their attitudes towards family planning, for example planning the number of children. Our research was conducted on a random sample of 296 adolescents aged 14 – 18, 132 boys and 164 girls, in four primary and two secondary schools. Most children (267) lived with both parents and majority (164) had a brother or a sister. Adolescents generally regarded relationships in their families harmonious and considered they lived in an atmosphere of trust and understanding. In 62% parents had the same attitudes towards upbringing while in 28% there were some differences in opinion. It is our opinion that harmonious and stable family life is the basic reason for most children to make a decision to have at least two children in their future families. We also consider positive the fact that children claimed that their parents were commited to them as well as they were commited to themselves, because it is important for children to have parents who are satisfied with their lives
