摘要：Advances in medical science, especially the better understanding of fundamental pathophysiological processes and disorders responsible for the development and progression of cerebrovascular disease, and improved diagnostics with a possibility to visualize subtle biochemical processes in the brain parenchyma, have created conditions for conceptualizing and planning various preventive and therapeutic treatment options. The objective of this review is to present and throw light on the role of certain neurovascular procedures in the treatment of cerebrovascular disease in specific groups and forms of this large clinical entity, comparing them with contemporary literature data. In this sense, in addition to providing significant diagnostic information about ischemic brain disease, neurovascular techniques combined with other treatment procedures (antivasospastic agents, thrombolitic agents, classic endarterectomy) become a significant component in the treatment of ischemic brain disease in strictly defined and selected groups of patients
